Pet safety, built around you

If something happens to you, who takes care of your pet?

Woof checks on you. If you can’t answer, it reaches the people you trust, in the order you chose, and gives them what they need to step in for your pet.

Free core protection. No ads. Nothing about you is sold.

See how Woof works

As seen on ABC’s Shark Tank

A real Woof home screen: Marty, Hank and Odin drawn safe at home while their owner is out, the Dead Man’s Switch counting 11 hours 59 minutes to the next check-in, and a large “I’m okay” button.

How Woof works

Woof notices. Woof checks on you. Then your people step in.

Nobody hears a thing unless you can’t answer.

  1. Woof notices

You miss a check-in you set up. Or, with Super Woof, Automatic Protection sees you left home and haven’t come back.

  2. Woof checks on you

A notification, then a text. To you, and nobody else yet. One tap says you’re fine and it’s over.

  3. Your Safety Network is contacted

Only if you still can’t answer. The people you chose, one at a time, in your order. They don’t need the app.

  4. Someone steps in for your pet

Whoever says yes sees the care details you prepared: feeding, medication, your vet, and how to get in if you allow it.

Almost every day, nothing happens. You tap once, nobody is contacted, and your day carries on. This is what using Woof is actually like.

With Super Woof, Full Support adds one optional last step. If nobody in your Safety Network could resolve it, a person at Woof reviews the case and decides what’s appropriate next. Nothing about it is automatic.

More than an app

Technology notices the problem. People solve it.

A notification alone doesn’t feed a dog. Woof doesn’t stop at telling you something may be wrong: it runs the plan you already chose, reaching you first, then the people you trust, and hands them what they need to actually help.

With Super Woof Full Support, a real person can review a situation nobody in your Safety Network could resolve, and decide whether more is appropriate. That can include contacting an appropriate authority or requesting a wellness check if it’s warranted. It is a person’s deliberate decision, every time.

Woof’s software never calls 911, never dispatches emergency services and never requests a welfare check on its own.

How Limited and Full Support differ

  1. You

A notification, then a text. One tap ends it.

  2. Safety Contact 1

The person you’d want first. A text and a link.

  3. Safety Contact 2

If the first can’t right now, Woof moves on.

  4. Safety Contact 3

Up to three with Woof. Up to six with Super Woof.

  5. Full Support Optional · Super Woof

A person at Woof reviews the unresolved case and decides what’s appropriate.

Super Woof · the premium version of Woof

Woof, powered up.

Everything in Woof, for your whole pack — plus automatic protection, smarter pet tools, and extra support when you need it.

Your whole pack — up to 10 pets

Free Woof protects one pet. Super Woof lets you protect and manage up to 10: a Woof Pet Record for each of them, Lost Pet Mode for each of them, and every pet in one Woof account.

Automatic Protection

Leaving home starts an Away Timer; an unusually long stretch at home starts a Home Timer. Woof notices for you, using one boundary around your home and no location trail.

Full Support

Optional human follow-up. If your Safety Network can’t resolve it, a person at Woof reviews the case and decides the appropriate next step.

Caregiver Pass

Give a sitter exactly what they need and nothing they don’t: the pets, the days, the instructions, and a checklist they tick.

Also: Woof AI, Incident History, up to six Safety Contacts, and every cape for your guardian.

$2.99 a month · $29.99 a year · no trial, cancel any time

Everything Super Woof adds

Super Woof: the golden Woof guardian in a purple cape.
A real Woof home screen while its owner is out: Marty, Hank and Odin at home, the owner marked Away, and the Away Timer counting down from 2 hours.

Leaving home starts the timer. Coming home ends it by itself.

Protection is where Woof starts. It’s not where it ends.

Protect. Know. Connect.

The protection underneath it all, the record that makes a helper useful, and the ways other people get to care for your pet too.

ProtectThe foundation

Someone always knows.

The Dead Man’s Switch, Automatic Protection, your Safety Network, Full Support if you want it, and an Incident History of what Woof did and when. This is why Woof exists, and the core of it is free.

Everything else Woof does is built on this: if you can’t get home, the people you trust find out your pet is waiting.

Know

Everything about them, ready when it’s needed.

The Woof Pet Record keeps the health and care information and the documents in one place, and Woof AI reads it to tell you what’s worth noticing.

Connect

The people who help, helped.

Lost Pet Mode if your pet goes missing, a Caregiver Pass for the sitter, sharing with a vet, and the Safety Contacts who would step in.

Hank’s real Woof Pet Record health tab: his weight, a mild grass-pollen allergy, a managed condition, and his vaccinations, with DHPP and rabies up to date and Bordetella marked due soon.

Know · the Woof Pet Record

When someone needs to step in, the information is already there.

You know your pet’s routine without thinking. The person in your kitchen tomorrow doesn’t. The Woof Pet Record is how they find out, and it’s free.

  • Feeding, walks and routines, in your own words
  • Medications with the real dose and schedule
  • Vaccinations, conditions and allergies
  • Your vet, and separately the emergency one, with numbers
  • Documents, certificates and insurance in one place
  • Share it with a sitter or a vet on a link that expires

Woof AI reads what you already know about your pet and makes it easier to use: a rabies certificate about to lapse, an allergy a sitter should hear about. It doesn’t diagnose, prescribe or replace your vet. Meet Woof AI

More about the Woof Pet Record

Free with WoofArriving in Woof

Connect · Lost Pet Mode

Protection for when the emergency is about them.

If your pet goes missing, Woof gives you a secure recovery page you can share anywhere, and a way for anyone who finds them to reach you.

A public recovery page

Your pet’s photo, name and what a finder should know, on a link and a QR code you can post anywhere.

Finders reach you through the page

They send a sighting with a note and a photo, or contact you, without your phone number being posted.

Your details stay yours

The page shows what you chose to share about your pet, not your address or your other information.

Mark them safe

When they’re home, one tap tells everyone who saw the page, and the sightings stop.

Woof does not track your pet: no GPS, no collar and no location of the animal. It makes the people who see them able to help.

Super WoofArriving in Woof

Connect · Caregiver Pass

Give a sitter exactly what they need, and nothing they don’t.

Pick the pets, the days and the details. Your sitter opens one private link in a browser, sees the instructions, and ticks tasks off as they go.

You choose what they see

Which pets, for how long, and which parts of the Pet Record. Home access notes are never included.

Instructions and tasks

Feeding, walks and medication as a checklist, current the moment they open it.

Marked, never verified

A medication can be marked given. Woof records what the caregiver marked and says so; it never claims to have checked.

No app, no account, no subscription

The sitter needs nothing but the link. You can revoke it, and it expires on its own.

Trust

Where Woof stands

No automatic emergency dispatch. Software never decides to call 911 or request a welfare check. Not from a timer, a missed check-in or a fall. Woof checks on you, then tells the people you trust, and it never promises anyone will come.

Your location isn’t the product. With Super Woof, Woof records that you crossed your own boundary, never where you went. There’s no trail of your movements to keep, sell or lose.

Nothing follows you around. No advertising identifier, no third-party analytics, no data brokers, nothing sold. Woof never asks for Apple’s app-tracking permission, because there is no cross-app tracking in it to consent to.

Your SMS consent stays with Woof. Your phone number and your agreement to receive texts are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Independent advice

The ASPCA advises pet owners to choose in advance who would care for their animals, keep emergency contacts where somebody can find them, and write down medications and veterinary details. “A neighbor or friend could step in to check on your pets if you are hospitalized.

On television

Woof appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank: season 14, episode 19, 10 March 2023.

About Woof

Why Woof exists

“I built Woof because I couldn’t stop thinking about one question: if something happened to me on an ordinary day, how long would my dogs be home alone before anyone knew? Woof is the answer I wanted to exist.”

Arsalan Khodabandelou, founder. His dogs are Marty, Hank and Odin.

Questions people ask first

Before you download

Is Woof really free?
Yes. The Dead Man’s Switch, your Safety Network, the contact ladder, the complete Woof Pet Record, sharing and Lost Pet Mode are free for your pet, with no trial and nothing that expires. Super Woof is an optional subscription that adds more on top, including room for your whole pack.
What happens if I don’t respond to a check-in?
Woof checks on you first: a notification, then a text. If you still can’t answer, it contacts the people in your Safety Network one at a time, in the order you chose, and shows whoever says yes how to care for your pet. One tap from you ends it at any point.
Who gets contacted?
Only the people you chose, and only ones who accepted in advance. Up to three with Woof, up to six with Super Woof. Woof never contacts somebody who didn’t agree to be on your list.
How many pets can I protect with Woof?
Free Woof protects one pet, completely: the full Woof Pet Record, Lost Pet Mode, sharing and every safety feature. Super Woof lets you protect and manage up to 10. Members who joined Woof before this policy keep multi-pet access, whether or not they subscribe.
Do my Safety Contacts need the app?
No. They get a text with a secure link. They don’t need Woof installed or an account, and they can say “I can’t right now” so Woof simply moves on to the next person.
Does Woof automatically call the police or 911?
No. Woof’s software never calls 911, never dispatches emergency services and never requests a welfare check on its own. With Super Woof you can turn on Full Support, and if nobody in your Safety Network could resolve it, a person at Woof reviews the situation and decides what is appropriate, which can include contacting an appropriate authority or requesting a wellness check if warranted. Nobody promises a response time or an outcome.
Does Woof track where I go?
No. Free Woof uses no location at all. Super Woof’s Automatic Protection uses one home boundary you set, so Woof knows whether you are home or away. It never records where you went, and there is no location trail to keep, sell or lose.
I already have people who would help. Why do I need Woof?
That is exactly the point. Your people would help if they knew. Woof makes sure they find out when they are needed, and hands them what they need to actually help: feeding, medication, your vet, and how to get in if you allow it.
Is this only for people with health problems?
No. Accidents, a hospital stay, a car that breaks down somewhere without signal: an ordinary day can go wrong for anyone. Woof is for anybody with a pet waiting at home.
What happens to my pet’s information?
It is yours. No advertising identifier, no third-party analytics, no data brokers, nothing sold. Sharing is always a link you choose to create, and it stops working when you say so.
