Protection
You choose one strategy and Woof runs exactly that. Automatic Protection’s two halves are independent switches — you can run either, or both.
Away Protection
Crossing your home boundary starts a timer with a real deadline held on Woof’s servers — not a countdown on your phone. Come home and it ends by itself.
Home Protection
If you have been home unusually long, Woof asks whether you’re all right. A long day indoors is weak evidence, so it asks rather than escalating — only an unanswered question goes further.
Fall Protection
Your Apple Watch detects hard falls. If it does and you don’t respond, Woof follows up. Woof does not detect falls itself and does not claim to.

The part that actually helps your pet
An alarm nobody hears is not protection. Woof’s job is to get a real person to your door, so the network comes before the countdown.
- A Safety Network that consentedYou invite people; they accept before Woof will ever contact them. Three contacts on Woof, six on Woof+.
- Protection ReadinessIf nobody has accepted yet, Woof will not tell you that you’re “Protected”. It says the protection is incomplete, because an escalation with nobody to call reaches nobody.
- A secure link, not your addressOutreach carries a link that expires and is revoked when the incident closes. Your street address and any access instructions live behind it, never in the text itself.
- A record of everythingEvery notification, message, reply and state change is written down and cannot be edited or deleted afterwards.
Pet Passport
Your pet’s records, ready before anyone needs them
The Passport is free, and it is a real medical record rather than a notes field — because the moment somebody needs your dog’s medication schedule is the moment you can’t tell them.
- Vaccinations, with provider, lot number and next-due date
- Medications with structured schedules, and a record of doses given
- Conditions, allergies including severity, and health notes
- Weight history over time
- Veterinary providers, including an emergency vet
- Documents and photographs, stored with a checksum
- A derived timeline of everything that has happened
- Temporary sharing with a sitter or a vet, on a link that expires
Privacy
What Woof deliberately doesn’t have
Location for protection, never advertising
Woof records that you crossed your own boundary, not where you went. There is no column in the database for a coordinate — so there is no trail of your movements to keep, sell or lose.
No advertising identifier
Woof never asks for tracking permission, because it has nothing to track you with.
No third-party analytics SDK
No Firebase, no Segment, no session recorder. Product measurement is first-party and you can turn it off.
No referral link tracking
There is no honest first-party way to follow somebody from a browser into an app install, and the approximations are fingerprinting. So Woof doesn’t.
No AI, anywhere
Woof’s escalation is deterministic timers and a fixed ladder. Nothing infers whether you are in trouble, and no model is involved in a safety decision.
