Your breed. Your neighborhood. Your people.

Every pet question you've ever typed into a search bar has been lived by somebody else. Woof Chat is where you find them, free with Woof, in the same app that protects the pets you're talking about.

Arriving in Woof. This page describes what’s coming, not what’s live today

Conversations that keep, not a firehose

Woof Chat is built on communities and threads, with posts, replies and reactions that stay useful after the moment passes, rather than one giant stream nobody can follow.

Communities, three ways in

My Breed: Woof already knows you have a pug, so the Pugs community is one tap away. Nearby: your city’s pet owners, at city level only. Topics: new puppies, senior dogs, health. And All Woof, where everyone is.

One conversation, two doors

Woof Chat lives in the iOS app and on the web in My Woof, as one synchronized community rather than two products. Start a thread on your phone, finish reading it at your desk.

You choose what you are

You appear as a handle you pick, like @MartyDad, never your legal name. Whether your pets show up next to it is a switch you own, off until you turn it on.

Free with Woof

Woof Chat isn’t a subscription feature. If you have Woof, you have your people, and the same no-ads, nothing-sold rules cover everything you say there.

What it looks like

Real communities, the kinds of threads they’re for, and the one account that isn’t a person, labeled so you can never mistake it for one.

Why does my pug refuse to walk in rain?

Three years, zero wet walks. Carried like royalty every time. Is this just… pugs?

@MartyDad

First night home: crate in the bedroom or not?

Every book says something different. What actually worked for yours?

Catch up: what pug owners discussed this week

Woof AI can summarize a community you’ve been away from: clearly sourced, clearly labeled, and reviewed before it posts.

Privacy

Community and safety are deliberately walled apart

Woof also runs your protection, so Woof Chat is built with walls, not policies: the community code cannot read the safety side at all.

  • Never your location. Nearby communities are city-level, chosen from a curated list. Never your coordinates, never your address.
  • Never whether you’re home. Your home/away state, your timers and your protection setup have no path into community, so nothing in Woof Chat can reveal that your house is empty.
  • A handle, not an identity. Your legal name is never shown. The one thing Woof Chat reads from your household is your pets’ names and breeds, for suggestions, and it shows them only if you switch it on.
  • Moderated, with rules that are public. Reporting and blocking are built in, official accounts are badged, and the Community Guidelines apply to everyone, Woof included.

Woof AI in Woof Chat

One account that isn’t a person

Woof AI can appear in communities to recap a week you missed, answer “what are NYC dog owners saying about airline travel?”, or organize a busy thread. Its posts always carry the Official · AI badge, a person approves what it publishes, and it never joins a conversation pretending to be a member.

Community discussion and sourced information stay visibly different things: what members say is what members say, and what Woof AI summarizes is labeled as a summary.
